안녕하세요, 여러분! 기분이 어때요? Hello, everyone! I am back with common Korean proverb. Should we start?

"호랑이도 말하면 온다더니"

호랑이 - tiger

말하다 - to talk, to tell, to said

온다더니 - "오다" to come + "더니" grammar structure, that means something that you experienced by yourself ( you saw, heard or know).

So, the literature meaning is "speak of the devil". But for better understanding, this proverb means that someone appeared just as you was talking about him/her and you are a bit surprised

마크 씨의 새 여자친구에 대해 들어봤어요? Did you hear about Mike's new girlfriend?

네! 가수라고 들었어요! Yes! I heard she is a singer!
